Detailed Policy on Shipping and Logistics Procedures for the End Purchaser
This policy outlines the methodologies, terms, and conditions governing the execution of transportation and delivery operations for goods purchased through our sales channels. It also delineates the responsibilities assigned to both the supplier and the buyer, in accordance with current regulations concerning e-commerce and freight transport. A thorough reading of all the paragraphs below is strongly recommended, as understanding them is a fundamental prerequisite for optimal management of expectations regarding product receipt.
Art. 1: Scope of Application and Determination of Shipping Costs
1.1 Shipping costs, where applicable, are calculated based on multiple variable parameters, including, but not limited to, the volumetric weight of the item (derived from its dimensions and density), the geographical destination of the recipient (distance, accessibility of the location, presence of remote or difficult-to-reach areas), the intrinsic value of the goods (for insurance and risk management purposes), and the type of transportation service selected (standard, express, with additional services). These costs are displayed in an aggregated manner during the order finalization phase, prior to the buyer's definitive confirmation of the transaction. Non-contestation of these costs at the time of purchase implies unconditional acceptance of their amount.
1.2 We reserve the right to modify tariff schedules and shipping cost calculation methodologies at any time and without prior notice, it being understood that the applicable cost for the order will be that in effect at the time of its finalization. Any promotions or discounts on shipping costs are considered temporary and do not constitute a precedent for future purchases.
Art. 2: Order Processing and Transit Times
2.1 Order processing, which includes product availability verification, pre-shipment quality control, and packaging, requires a variable period, generally estimated to be 3-7 business days from the payment confirmation date. This period does not include actual transit times and may be subject to extensions during periods of high demand, national holidays, or extraordinary events not attributable to our direct management.
2.2 Transit times, meaning the period between the consignment of the package to the logistics carrier and its delivery to the recipient, are merely indicative and vary significantly based on the destination and the type of shipping service selected. The estimates provided (e.g., "3-5 business days for domestic shipments," "7-15 business days for international destinations") are based on historical carrier experience and in no way constitute a mandatory deadline or a guarantee of delivery within the specified period. Delays due to force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, strikes, customs restrictions, supply chain disruptions, operational slowdowns of carriers) exempt our company from any liability for non-compliance with the indicated terms.
2.3 We cannot guarantee delivery on specific dates or times, nor is it possible to change the shipping address once the order has been taken over for logistical processing, in order to preserve the integrity of the process and prevent fraud or errors.
Art. 3: Delivery Methods and Recipient's Responsibility
3.1 Delivery is understood to be made to the civic number indicated by the recipient or, in the absence of a different specification, to the pickup point agreed upon with the carrier. It is the buyer's responsibility to provide a complete, correct, and accessible shipping address. Any errors or omissions in the address provided that result in failed delivery, delay, or return of the package will be the sole responsibility of the buyer, who will be liable for any additional costs for re-shipment or return management.
3.2 Upon receipt of the goods, the recipient is obliged to verify the integrity of the packaging and the external conformity of the package. In the presence of evident anomalies (e.g., damaged, opened, tampered packaging, compromised carrier adhesive tape), it is imperative to accept the package with specific reservation, affixing the wording "Accepted with reservation of inspection" and describing the nature of the damage on the courier's transport document. Failure to affix a specific reservation at the time of delivery severely compromises the possibility of submitting a claim for transport damage thereafter.
3.3 Should the package be clearly compromised in such a way as to make the internal product impossible to preserve or use (e.g., completely destroyed packaging), the recipient is authorized to refuse delivery, promptly informing us in writing.
3.4 In case of failed delivery due to the recipient's absence, the carrier will generally make one or more re-delivery attempts or deposit the package at a designated pickup point. It will be the recipient's responsibility to contact the courier to coordinate re-delivery or pickup within the terms established by the carrier. The recipient's lack of cooperation leading to prolonged storage or return of the package to the sender will generate additional costs at the buyer's expense.
Art. 4: International Shipments, Duties, and Customs Fees
4.1 For shipments destined to countries outside the customs territory of departure (e.g., outside the European Union), the recipient is the registered importer and, as such, is solely responsible for the payment of any customs duties, import taxes, fiscal charges, customs clearance fees, and any other applicable taxes or costs in the destination country. Such charges are not included in the product purchase price or in the shipping costs calculated at the time of order, and their amount can vary considerably based on the regulations of the destination country and the value of the goods.
4.2 Our company is in no way responsible for the calculation, collection, or refund of such charges. The recipient's refusal to pay duties or customs fees resulting in failed delivery or return of the package to the sender will not entitle them to refunds, and any return shipping costs incurred will be charged to the buyer. It is the buyer's responsibility to inquire in advance with local customs authorities about applicable charges.
Art. 5: Shipment Tracking
5.1 A tracking number will be provided once the package is entrusted to the logistics carrier. This code will allow the buyer to monitor the status and route of the shipment via the courier's online portals. The responsibility for tracking lies with the carrier, and our company cannot guarantee real-time updates or the completeness of the information provided by the external tracking system. Any inconsistencies or delays in status updates are the responsibility of the carrier.
Art. 6: Losses and Damages in Transit
6.1 Although we take all reasonable precautions in packaging products, the risk of loss or damage to goods during transit lies with the carrier from the moment the package is entrusted to them by us. Should confirmed damage or loss occur, our support will be limited to facilitating the claim procedures with the courier, but we will not be able to offer direct replacements or refunds if the damage was not contested at the time of delivery as specified in Art. 3.2. The resolution of such claims is subject to the courier's policies and timelines.
